Richard "Squealy" Peters, age 49, of Shawano, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021. Richard was born in Shawano on October 25, 1971, to the late Robert and Beverly (Pamonicutt) Peters, Sr. On April 18, 1998, Richard was united in marriage to the love of his life, Darcy James in Keshena. Richard worked at Seneca Foods and the Menominee Casino. In his free time, he enjoyed watching basketball, UFC and boxing with his sons. He was a Chicago Bears fan and an avid cannabis user. Richard enjoyed listening to loud rock music and spending time in the woods shanging. More than anything he loved his children dearly.
Richard is survived by: his former wife, Darcy Peters; his children, Andre (Katrina Wychesit) James, Ramon (Talenna Peters) Peters, Beverly Peters, and Talia Peters; grandchildren; Lashaila, Javon, and Aurora; siblings, Robert (Dani) Peters, Gaynel (John) Peters, Bridget Peters, Brian (Ashley) Peters, Steven Peters, Chody Olson, and Wayne Connavichnah. He is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews including special nieces, Crystie, Latisha, Jessica, Brianna, Denae, Alliyah, and Latasha and special nephews; Todd, Neegee, Nathan, Brian, Mitchell, Brian Jr., Devan, and Joseph; and a special cousin, Roberta "Sissy Paw" James.
He is preceded in death by: his parents and a son, Richard Peters, Jr. in infancy.
Traditional services will be held at Darcy Peters' residence located at N653 Chief Shunien Road in Keshena from 3:00 pm Wednesday until 2:00 pm Friday.
