Richard J. Raasch, age 79, passed on Monday September 8, 2025, in Shawano. Richard was born on November 5, 1945, in Shawano to the late Gerald and Eleanor (Eastman) Raasch. He graduated from Shawano High School in 1963 then entered into the United States Army serving in Vietnam. After being honorably discharged, Richard became an over the road truck driver until his retirement. He enjoyed visiting with others, listening to classical music and spending time with his cats. Richard was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano.

Richard is survived by his siblings, Gary Raasch, Nancy (Jack) Beilfuss and Elizabeth (Allan) Beilfuss. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Richard is preceded in death by his siblings, William Raasch and Timothy Raasch; sister-in-law, Katherine Raasch; and parents, Gerlad and Eleanor.

A funeral mass for Richard will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday September 16, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Edward Looney officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial and military honors will be conducted by the Shawano American Legion Post #117 will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
