Robert James "Bobby" Waukau, age 78, passed away on Thursday July 25, 2024, at his home in Keshena. Bobby was born on November 6, 1945, in Keshena, Wisconsin to the late William Waukau and Gertrude (Kohel) Van Price. He graduated from Shawano High School. On November 27, 1992, Bobby was united in marriage to Diana Gauthier in Keshena. He worked as a Game Warden, EMT, Menominee County Coroner and retired from MTE. Bobby was an avid outdoorsman and taught the younger generation about the outdoors. He loved berry picking, fishing, hunting, trapping, camping, gardening and spending time at the lake lot. Bobby was a Brewers, Packer and Bucks fan. He enjoyed going to the casino and telling stories to everyone and talking to other people.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 31 years, Diana; children, William (Tracy) Waukau, Reynold Gauthier, Paula Waukau, Kathy Waukau, Lois Waukau and Sandra (Brent) Waubanascum; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and siblings, Lawrence Waukau, Myron (Doris) Pyawasit, Daryl (Kim) Waukau, Leon Waukau, Kathryn (Ismael) Camacho, Denise Waukau and Jacquelyn Waukau.

Bobby is preceded in death by his siblings, Charlie Kohel, Mary Jane Pamaska, Lalita Waukau, Lois Waukau, Rosella Ninham, Francis Waukau, Michael Waukau, Leroy Waukau and William Waukau; and parents, William and Gertrude.

A funeral service for Bobby will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday July 29, 2024, at the Fr. David Barrett Hall in Keshena. A visitation will be held at the Fr. David Barrett Hall starting at 1:30 pm on Saturday July 27, 2024, and continuing until the time of service on Monday.
