Robert John Daskam, age 76 of Bonduel, passed away Friday, November 15, 2013 in Appleton. Born on September 24, 1937 in Winnebago County, he was the son of the late Robert and Melissa (Mansfield) Daskam. On June 6, 1959 he was united in marriage to June Elaine Hafemann at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in the Town of Washington. She preceded him in death on October 20, 2006. Robert worked most of his life as a farmer. When not working, he enjoyed bowling, fishing, crafts, going to lion's camp, playing church dartball and playing cards, especially sheepshead. Robert's also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially those cherished moments with his grandchildren and great-grandson. Robert was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in the Town of Washington and was the current President of the Green Bay Deaf Club. Robert is survived by: his daughter, Sandy (Kevin) Dordel of Bonduel; 2 sons, Dennis Daskam of Bonduel, Steven (Wanda) Daskam of Cecil; 4 grandchildren, Chad, Jason and Ryan Dordel, Melissa Daskam; a great-grandson, Noah Dordel; and a sister, Betty Ahrens of Oshkosh. Robert was preceded in death by: his wife, June; his parents; a sister, Dorothy Staerkel; and 2 brothers-in-law, Bruce Staerkel and Darwin Ahrens. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Town of Washington with the Rev. Steven Pockat officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home on Monday from 4:00-8:00pm and at the church on Tues from 10:00am until the time of the service.
