Obituary

Robert Frederick Gengler, age 79, of Keshena, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2018 in Shawano. Bob was born on June 1, 1938 in Milwaukee, the son of the late Arthur and Mary (Claas) Gengler.  On May 4, 1963, Bob was united in marriage to Rosemary Waupoose in Keshena.  He lived in Milwaukee for 66 years and in Keshena for the past 13 years.  Bob was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling.
Bob is survived by: his wife of almost 55 years, Rosemary; their three children, Deanna Henry of Shawano, MaryJo (Ron) Stremlau of Brookfield and Daryl (Amy) Gengler of Franklin; five grandchildren, Ronnie, Ryan, Sophia, Xavier and Isaiah.  He is further survived by two sisters, Dolores (Ken) Skidmore of Westbend and Judith Gengler of Westbend; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, James Anthony; son-in-law, Stuart Henry; his parents; and four sisters.
Funeral services for Bob will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Keshena. Visitation will be held at Swedberg Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 3:00 – 7:00 pm and again at the church on Thursday from 9:30 am until the time of the service.  A wake service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:00 pm.
