Robert L. Hendrick, age 85, of Keshena, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017 at his home. Robert was born in Mosinee on April 15, 1931, the son of the late James and Mary (Vanish) Hendrick. On May 21, 1955, Robert was united in marriage to Lorraine O'Connor in Mosinee. Robert served in the U.S. Army National Guard from 1949-1977. He served during the Berlin Crisis in 1961-1962 and continued as a First Sergeant in the National Guard, 32nd Division until being honorably discharged in 1977. Robert worked as the West Coast Area Sales Manager for the Mosinee Paper Corporation for 28 years and was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Keshena. Robert was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed the Packers and Brewers. He and Lorraine had Packer season tickets for many years. Robert loved to golf, played the drums, and loved listening to big band music. He loved life and will be missed by all who knew him.
Robert is survived by: his wife, Lorraine; their two daughters, Kathleen Ann Hendrick of Greenfield and her two children, Stanley John and Anna Lorraine; and Patricia Louise Felix of Houston, TX, and her son, Joshua Robert.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services for Robert will be held at 1:30 pm on Thursday, March 30th, 2017 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Keshena with Rev. Joel Jores officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Keshena American Legion Post #497/Veterans of the Menominee Nation following the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery in spring. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
