Robert A. Hoeffs, age 80 of Bonduel, died on Friday, April 18, 2014 with his family by his side. Born on April 28, 1933 in Bonduel, he is the son of the late Arnold and Ruth (Lauersdorf) Hoeffs. Following Robert's graduation from the Bonduel High School in 1951, he proudly served in the U.S. Army from August of 1954 to May of 1956, spending 16 months in Korea. Robert was united in marriage to Donna Montoure on June 30, 1962, who preceded him in death on September 11, 2007. He worked at the Bleick's Creamery from 1956-1976, making the transfer to Fort Howard until his retirement from there in 1998. He was a member at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in the Town of Washington. In his free time Robert enjoyed bowling, playing cards, gardening and sports, especially watching the Packers, Badgers and Cubs. But above all, Robert found it captivating to watch his grandchildren play sports. Bob played baseball with the Cecil Mudhens from 1956-1964. Robert is survived by: his children, Brenda Staszak, Barbie Hoeffs, and Bradley (Mindy) Hoeffs all of Bonduel; grandchildren, Stephanie (Adam) Mikle of Gillett, Jared Staszak of Bonduel, Kylie Hoeffs of Bonduel and a great-grandchild on the way, Brixon. He is further survived by 2 siblings, Charles (Betty) Hoeffs of Bonduel, Nancy (Alvin) Bartz of Shawano, and many nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters-in-law. Robert is preceded in death by his wife, Donna and a brother, Roger Hoeffs. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in the Town of Washington with the Rev Steven Pockat officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel and on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
