Robert John Tucker, age 83, of Neopit, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at his home. Robert was born in Keshena on November 26, 1934, son of the late Elmer and Jenny (Dodge) Tucker. Robert served our country honorably in the United States Army. On February 2, 1957, in Neopit, he was united in marriage to Violet James, who preceded him in death on July 20, 2014. Robert worked as a truck driver for Menominee Lumber Mill for many years. He later worked for Menominee Transit. Robert is a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Neopit.
He is survived by: his children, Robert (Marissa) Tucker of Cecil, Kevin (Jana) Tucker of Neopit, Roberta "Sister" (Edward) Reiter of Neopit, Danny Tucker, Sr. of North Dakota, Shannon (Rose) Tucker of Middle Village, Corey (Brandy) of Shawano and Latoya (Timothy) of Green Bay; his grandchildren, Dallas, Ryan, Allen, Lucas, LeAsah, Reinlyn, Keri, Jennifer, Kevin, Kristofer, April, Jonathan, Manihsaeh, LeTisha, Violet, Mariah, Danny Jr., Todd-Michael, Brian, Omaha, Calvin, Walker, Shanica, Kaylee, Jade, Jenna, Brandi, Jared, Shannon Jr., as well as numerous great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Violet; his son, Corey Tucker Sr.; a grandson, Grayson; and his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Neopit with Rev. Joel Jores officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Keshena American Legion Post #497/Veterans of the Menominee Nation. Visitation will be held at the Tucker residence, W6542 River Street in Neopit on Monday, July 16, 2018 from 4:00 pm until the procession leaves for the church on Wednesday. A parish wake service will be held at the family residence at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, July 17, 2018.
