Robert A. "Bob" Jacobs, age 70 of Bowler, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at a local nursing home. Born on March 20, 1943 in Milwaukee, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Anna (Welch) Jacobs. Bob was raised and attended school in the Milwaukee area. On November 1, 1960 he enlisted with the United States Air Force and served his country for two years. On May 5, 1973 he was united in marriage to Dianne Wolske in Milwaukee and in 1977 the couple moved to the Bowler area. Bob was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Wilderness and the Mohican Veterans. Bob is survived by: his daughter, Dawn Jacobs of Bowler; his son, Patrick Jacobs of Bowler; 4 grandchildren, Ashlyn, Natalee, Emma, Jaxon; and 2 sisters, Dora and Karen. Bob was preceded in death by: his wife, Dianne on July 3, 2012; a stepson, Scott; his parents; and 2 brothers. Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the Lutheran Church of the Wilderness, Bowler with the Rev. Melinda Shriner officiating. Burial will be in the Stockbridge Indian Burial Grounds with Military Rites conducted by the Gresham American Legion Post #3i90 and the Mohican Veterans.
