Robert W. "Bob" King, age 60 of Oneida, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2013. Born on September 9, 1952 in Menominee County, he is the son of the late Austin and Hazel (Kitson) King. Robert was united in marriage to Barbara Ladd on June 17, 1972. He worked at Schneider as a mechanic for 35 years and the past several years as a truck driver. Robert was a hard working man. He enjoyed hunting, and was a father figure to his hunting crew, the "Long Marsh Manglers". He was loved by everyone, all of whom he had a nickname for. He sincerely cared about everyone he knew and he lit up any room he was in. Robert was a loving father and papa, and was wonderful husband and best friend to his wife, Barb. He was a member of the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Keshena. He is survived by: his wife, Barb; his children, Bobbi Jo (Ronald Jr.) King of Oneida, Jacy (Jeffrey) Rasmussen of Oneida, Slade (fiancée, Jourdan Carpenter) King of South Branch; 7 grandchildren, Caelan, Camdyn, Ronni King, Jordyn, Sequoya, Riley Rasmussen, Shawn King and one on the way. Robert is further survived by a brother, Wayne Pecore; a sister, Pamela Grignon and numerous other relatives and friends. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Cher Estelle King in infancy and a brother, Jerry King. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Keshena. Visitation will be held at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano on Friday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
