Robert "Bob" Vincent Knowles, age 86, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022 in Appleton. He was born on February 12, 1936, to the late George "LeRoy" and Clementine (Bryl) Knowles in Milwaukee. Bob was in the United States Marine Corps from 1954 to 1957. He was united in marriage to Phyllis Appleby on February 19, 1955 in Oceanside, CA. She preceded him in death in 2014. Bob worked for the Milwaukee County Park System for over 30 years before moving north in 1994 to Pickerel, Marion and Bowler. He enjoyed doing carpentry work, woodworking, model trains and remote airplanes. He was a member of St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church in Gresham.

Bob is survived by his children, Vicky (David) Haas, Steven Knowles, Patricia Turner, Bobbie (Curtis) Baldwin and James (Catherine) Knowles; and daughter-in-law, Anna Knowles. He is further survived by seventeen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis, parents, brother, Eugene and son-in-law, Leslie.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 5, 2022 at St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church in Gresham with Fr. Hanz Christian officiating. Visitation will be held at 9:30 until the time of service. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military honors being performed by the Gresham American Legion.
