Robert "Bob Big Red" Kort, age 61, of the Town of Wescott, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022 from injuries sustained during an auto accident in Outagamie County. He was born on August 14, 1960 to the late Vincent and Geraldine Kort in Shawano. Bob graduated from Shawano High School with the class of 1979. His current employer was MCC in New London. Previously, Bob worked at the Shawano Paper Mills and was a self-employed truck driver. Bob was a caring and gentle giant. He most enjoyed spending time with his family and his two dogs, Luna and Saphira. Bob also enjoyed his "toys" and tractors. Our lives were a little happier to have a father and friend like Bob. He was one of the good guys, very generous with his time. Bob had a way of making you feel like you were important, and he was always willing to help anyone in need; no matter how busy he was. He was a hard worker from working at MCC and also on the family farm. Even though Bob was taken too soon, he lived an extraordinary life surrounded by people who loved and adored him. He will be missed by many.

He is survived by his daughters, Mindy LeRoy from Neenah and Angela (Curt Naja) Kort of Shawano; granddaughters, Allura and Airowyn LeRoy; brother, Keith (Rita) Kort of Shawano; niece and nephew, Caitlin Kort and Kieran Kort; the mother of his children Gwen Porter; several friends, including best friends, Scott and Amy Bluemke, John Doepker; and his extended family at Buss Automotive in Shawano.

Bob is preceded in death by sister, Elizabeth (Betty) Kort and his parents.

Please join us in a memorial service at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Richard Menning officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, August 12, 2022 at Swedberg Funeral Home from 4:00-7:00 pm and again on Saturday at 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery. A memorial fund is being established.
