Robert W. "Bob" Lohrengel, age 74 of Shawano, passed away Thursday, October 06, 2011 in Shawano. Born on May 25, 1937 in Shawano, he was the son of the late Otto F. and Hulda (Bohm) Lohrengel. Bob lived in the Shawano area his entire life. After graduating from high school, he enlisted with the United States Army. On August 28, 1965 he was united in marriage to Jeanne Gueller. Bob worked at Goers Brothers Auto and M.W. Auto for several years. He was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano and a former member of the Shawano Archery Club and the Shawano Area Campers. Bob is survived by: his wife of 46 years, Jeanne; 3 sisters, Delores Meverden of Shawano, Lorraine (Harland) Zehren of Bonduel, Kathy (Al) Tomashek of Shawano; 3 brothers, Kenneth (Betty) Lohrengel of Shawano, Arthur (Rita) Lohrengel of Green Bay, Orvis (Janet) Bohm of Shawano; 5 brothers-in-law, Clarence (Terry) Gueller of Milwaukee, Allan (Yvonne) Gueller of TX, James (Linda) Gueller of GA, Lee (Luon) Gueller of Shawano, Kenneth (Debbie) Gueller of Shawano; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by: his parents; and a brother-in-law, Jerome Meverden. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at the St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano with the Rev. Fred Zimmermann and the Rev. Ted Andrada officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano with Military Rites conducted by the Shawano AMVETS Post #10. Visitation will be held at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano on Monday from 4-8pm and at the church on Tuesday after 10am until the time of the service.
