Obituary

Robert C. Luepke, age 77 of Bonduel, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Maple Lane, following his courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma and Parkinson's.  Robert was born in Shawano on December 22, 1941 to the late Wallace and Lois (Noster) Luepke.  Following his graduation from Berlin High School in 1961, Robert was drafted into the United States Army.  Robert was united in marriage to Carol Dehn on October 5, 1968 at Zion Lutheran Church in Zachow.   Robert and Carol were lifelong residents of Bonduel and members of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel where Robert was an active member, serving on the cemetery committee, the forest committee, as a church trustee, an usher, a greeter, and a member of the men's club.  He was also passionate about raising money for the bleacher fund.  Robert was equally as active in the Bonduel community where he served on the Village Board and was a 50 year member of the Bonduel American Legion Post #217.  Robert loved his grandkids and cherished spending time with them.  He enjoyed fishing year round, and especially loved ice fishing.  He also enjoyed playing cribbage, watching his grandkids play sports, and following the Milwaukee Brewers.

Robert is survived by:  his wife of 50 years, Carol (Dehn) Luepke; two sons, Brian (Sandy) Luepke of Pulaski and Brad (Lori) Luepke of Bonduel; three grandchildren, Sydney, Reed, and Riley; his brothers, Richard (Phyllis) Luepke of Ewen, Michigan, Randy (Marci) Luepke of Shawano, Ronald (Bonnie) Luepke of Cecil and Russell (Mary) Luepke of Green Bay; a sister-in-law, Betty Dehn of Bonduel; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wally and Lois Luepke and a brother-in-law, Jerry Dehn.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 11 th at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel with Pastor Mark Palmer officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the church on Sunday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. and again at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  Military Honors will be conducted by the Bonduel American Legion Post #217.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the St. Paul Lutheran School Bleacher Fund.
