Robert Lloyd "Bob" Seehafer, age 81, of Shawano, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017 in Shawano. Bob was born in Shawano on November 22, 1935, the son of the late Alvis and Magdeline (Bowan) Seehafer. He proudly served our country in the Air Force. After his honorable discharge in 1958 from the Air Force he served in the Naval Reserves. Bob was a life member of the AMVET Post# 10 where he also served on the Color Guard. On June 23, 1990, Bob was united in marriage to Diane (Koehler) Geringer at St. James Lutheran Church. Bob retired from Warvel Products in Gillett. He was an avid Packers, Brewers and Badger fan and enjoyed going to the casino, sign-ins and spending time with his family.
Bob is survived by: his wife, Diane; five daughters, Jamie Seehafer, Dawn Wheeler, Bobbi Johnson, Joey (Jody) Seehafer and Tina (Nathan) Geringer; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; his brother, Jim (Nancy) Seehafer; two sisters, Mary (Dale) Belongia and Margaret (Gene) Debouche; four sisters-in-law, Nancy Koehler, Shirley (Randy) Hacker, Sharon (Rick) Nuske and Terri (Tom) Watters; one brother-in-law, Wayne (Scarlett) Koehler; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; one brother, Dave Seehafer; his mother-in-law and father-in-law; and two brothers-in-law.
Funeral services for Bob will be held at 3:30 pm on Monday, July 3, 2017 at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano with Rev. Dr. Timm Griffin officiating. Military honors will be conducted at the church by the AMVET Post #10 following the service. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 1:30 pm until the time of the service.
