Roberta Ann Ofenbeck, age 83 of the Town of Washington, passed away Monday, June 17, 2013 at her home. Born on August 12, 1929 in Mankato, MN, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Xenia (Babcock) Queen. On December 28, 1949 she was united in marriage to Joseph A. Leifermann in Mankato. The couple made their home and raised their family in Wisconsin until 1970. On May 25, 1972 Roberta married Raymond Ofenbeck in Menominee, MI. After marriage, Roberta worked in the business office at ThedaClark Regional Hospital until her and Raymond retired in 1984. The couple spent many winters in Phar, TX enjoying their retirement. Roberta was a passionate reader and would always have a book close by. Roberta is survived by: 2 children, Gail Johnson, Bruce Leifermann; 4 stepchildren, Steve (Anne) Ofenbeck, Curt (Kathy) Ofenbeck, Chris (Larry) Smith, Mary (Jay) Jensen; 10 grandchildren, Adam, Wendy (Michael), Brian (Melissa), Eric (Katy), Ariel, Mathew (Stephanie) Jeremiah, Sarah (special friend, Chad), Derek (Angela), Tim; 8 great-grandchildren, Shawn, Shannon, Kevin, Brianna, Evan, Emma, Madelyn, Stella; and 3 siblings, Lura Biehl, Wayne Queen, Gordon (Dixie) Queen. Roberta was preceded in death by: her first husband, Joseph; her second husband, Raymond; her parents; a sister, Ardis; a brother, Ron; sisters-in-law, Georgine Queen, Violet Queen; and brothers-in-law, Don Biehl and Bert Morrill. Private family services were held. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family asks that donations be made in Roberta's name to the American Cancer Society or the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
