Roger K. Beilke, age 84 of Bowler, passed away Monday, March 04, 2013 at Cady Memorial Home in Birnamwood. Born on June 5, 1928 in Tigerton, he was the son of the late Robert A. and Emma (Kropf) Beilke. On July 31, 1948 he was united in marriage to Jeanette Schoen in Caroline. Jeanette preceded him in death on January 9, 1990. Roger lived in Shawano County all his life where he operated his own dairy farm. From 1956-1965 he was an Operator for the Shawano County Highway Department. Roger was a very active member and past president of the St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Bowler. He was a member of the Bowler FFA Alumni and was active in fundraising for the group. He was also a member of the Bowler Alumni Scholarship Association, Inc. In his free time, Roger enjoyed taking pictures, woodworking and collecting antiques, all of which he would display at the Shawano County Fair. He also enjoyed coin collecting. Roger is survived by: a daughter, Patricia (Dick) Miller of Bowler; a son, Ralph (Sheri) Beilke of Bowler; a daughter-in-law, Patricia (Dale) Tauchen of Dorchester; 6 grandchildren, Janet (Brian Goss) Miller, Amanda (Carlton) Stevens, Myra (Wade) Pommer, Austin (Erica Kuczer) Beilke, Stephanie (Tom) Andersen, Bradley (Chelsea) Beilke; and 8 great-grandchildren, BriAnne Goss, Isabella and Chase Stevens, Seth, Nathaniel, Caleb and Robin Pommer and Steven Andersen. Roger was preceded in death by: his wife, Jeanette; a son, Steven; his parents; and a brother, Evan. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at the St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Bowler with the Rev. Doug Heling officiating. Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery in the Town of Bartelme. Visitation will be held at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Gresham on Tuesday from 5-8pm and at the church on Wednesday from 10am until the time of the service.
