Roger Luther Herrmann, age 81 of Shawano, passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah. Roger was born on August 19, 1939 to the late Gotthelf and Edna (Boettcher) Herrmann in Shawano. He graduated from Shawano High School. On November 23, 1963, Roger was united in marriage to Darleen E. Struck in Appleton. He enjoyed the outdoors, spending his time hunting, fishing, farming, and gardening. Roger enjoyed cooking and baking, including making pies and sausage. He enjoyed dancing to polka music with his polka partner Darleen. Roger will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Roger is survived by his wife of 57 years, Darleen; his children, Gregory (Patti) Herrmann, Wanda (s.o. Jeremy Gajewske) Giese, and Tim (Samantha) Herrmann; daughter-in-law, Linda Herrmann; grandchildren, Tyler (Hillary) Herrmann, Dustin (s.o. Tracy Verstoppen) Giese, Dylan (Erica) Giese, Alec Herrmann, Lily (Neil) Cornelius, Megan Herrmann, and Emmalee Herrmann; great-grandchildren, Callen, Crystalynn, Liam, and Elvis; siblings, Marvin Herrmann, Wilbert (Martha) Herrmann, John (Marlene) Herrmann; and sister-in-law Marcie Herrmann. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Shortly before Roger's passing on Tuesday, his son Jeff went home to his heavenly father and they are now joined together again in heaven. Roger is further preceded in death by his parents; brother, Vernon Herrmann; son-in-law, Fred Giese; granddaughter, Danielle Giese; and mother and father-in-law, Harvey and Frieda Struck.

A funeral service for Roger and Jeff will be held at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 with Rev. Mark Palmer officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home from 9:30 am until the time of service.
