Roger Alvin Kriefall, age 93 , passed away Thursday, January 23, 2025, at his home in Shawano. Roger was born on July 17, 1931, in Shawano to the late Alvin and Malinda (Otto) Kriefall. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church- Hermansfort; where he was a lifelong member. Roger graduated from Shawano High School in 1949. In his younger years, he farmed with his parents before working at Webers Veneer. In 1971, Roger moved into Shawano and was a bus driver. In 1979, he started his career as a building inspector and assessor for several townships throughout Shawano County. In Roger's free time, he enjoyed traveling, hunting and fishing. He loved talking with people and never forgot a face with his great memory.

Roger is survived by his siblings, Willard Kriefall, Janet (Arlyn) Tober and Jane Krueger; and many nieces and nephews.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Malinda; brother-in-law, Norman Krueger; nephew, Kevin Tober; niece, Donna Kruesell; and great-nephew, Billy Anderson

A funeral service for Roger will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday January 28, 2025, at St. John's Lutheran Church-Hermansfort with Pastor Steve Conradt officiating. Visitation will be held at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano on Monday January 27, 2025, from 4:00pm until 7:00 pm then again on Tuesday at the church from 9:30 am until the time of service. Burial will be held in the church cemetery following services.
