Roger Raymond Kucksdorf, age 83, died on January 16th 2019 at Shawano Health Services following a struggle with many health issues. Roger was born February 1 ^st , 1935 at home to the late Walter and Ida (Dey) Kucksdorf in rural Shawano. He was baptized and confirmed at Elias Lutheran Church where he was a lifetime member. Roger attended Hohn Rural School and graduated from Gresham High.  He married Hazel Eleanor Dodge on August 20 ^th , 1960 in Menomonie, WI.   To this marriage one daughter was born; Jodi Lynn.

Roger graduated from UW-Stevens Point with a degree in Education. He worked as a math teacher and a dairy farmer. He taught at Iola Scandinavia Junior High and Bowler School District.  After retirement, he substitute taught at many Shawano county school districts and baled hay for farmers in his community. Roger was active in his community, serving as secretary at Elias Lutheran Church.

Roger had a passion for all sports, hunting, playing cards with his friends, and spending many days in the woods with his dog.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  Many came to him for advice and help as he was a patient and understanding listener. He treated everyone with respect and caring.

Roger is survived by his wife of 58 years, Hazel; daughter, Jodi Sabbar; son-in-law, Redouane Sabbar; grandsons, Bradley and Austin Sabbar; niece, Bonnie Buch (Louie) and nephew Dennis Schultz (Nancy). Preceding Roger in death was his sister, Eva Schultz, parents, Ida and Walter Kucksdorf, and many other loving family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Elias Lutheran Church in the Town of Herman. Visitation will be held at the church from on Saturday from 9:30 am until the time of the service.
