Roger Ray Lemberg, age 67 of the Town of Wescott, passed away Monday, April 28, 2014 in Green Bay. Born on July 30, 1946 in the Town of Hartland, he was the son of the late Leonard and Viola (Hoefs) Lemberg. Roger grew up in the Bonduel area and graduated from Bonduel High School. After graduating he enlisted with the United States Army and served his country during the Vietnam War for more than 6 years. Roger worked for many businesses in the area including the canning factory as a maintenance foreman and recently as a truck driver for Schneider National. When not working, Roger enjoyed cutting wood and being outdoors. He also enjoyed collecting Ford tractors, country music and his dog, Waylon. On June 1, 1990 he was united in marriage to Judy (Smith) Olson in Little Suamico. Roger was a member of the V.F.W. Roger is survived by: his wife, Judy; 4 children, Richard (Nancy) Lemberg of Pulaski, Jim (Joan) Lemberg of Neenah, David Lemberg of SD, Lanie Lemberg of SD; a step son, James Smith; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; a sister, Phyllis Gruel of Bonduel; a step brother, Delmar (Rose Ann) Zernicke of Bonduel; a step sister, Ellen (Gene) Mehlberg of Caroline; 4 sisters-in-law; 3 brothers-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. Roger was preceded in death by: a daughter in infancy; and his parents. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, May 2, 2014 at the Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel with the Rev. Loretta Waegli officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the Bonduel American Legion Post #217 at the funeral home following the service. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00-8:00pm and on Friday from 10:00am until the time of the service. www.swedbergfuneralhome.com
