Roland R. "Rollie" Bloedorn, age 88, of Cecil, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2015 in Shawano. Rollie was born on August 9, 1926 in Chilton, the son of the late Robert and Esther (Bartelt) Bloedorn. He was inducted into the Army in 1950 and served during the Korean conflict. On December 26, 1970, Rollie was married to Ida (Hoppe) Wudtke in Shawano. She preceded him in death in 2013. He worked at Asplundh Tree Service for 40 years until his retirement, was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Cecil, the VFW, and a life-long member of the American Legion and enjoyed gardening. Rollie is survived by his step children, Delano "Pat" (Marilyn) Wudtke, Nancy (Jim) Mitchell, Gary "Butch" (Barb) Wudtke all of Bonduel, step daughter-in-law, Eva Wudtke of Cecil and nine step grandchildren. He is further survived by several step great grandchildren, step great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one step son, Donald Wudtke, a step daughter in infancy, Shirley Wudtke, and four brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at St. John United Church of Christ in Cecil with Rev. Moira Finley officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Military Rites conducted by the Shawano AM Vets #10. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. A memorial fund has been established. The family would like to extend a special thank you to ThedaCare at Home Hospice and Shawano Medical Center for their wonderful care.
