Romeald Charles "Bud" Villeneuve, age 82 of Greenwood, SC, formerly of the Shawano area, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013 in South Carolina. Born on February 21, 1931 in Chicago, he was the son of the late Romeald H. and Vivian (Pratt) Villeneuve. Bud was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, honorably serving his country during the Korean Conflict. He was united in marriage to Shirley Buckley and worked for United States Steel in Chicago. Bud is survived by: his wife, Shirley; his daughter, Gail (Wayne) Behrendt of Greenwood, SC; his son, Mark (Becky) Villeneuve of Park Ridge, IL; 2 grandsons, Kyle (Lauren) Behrendt of Greenville, SC, Davis Behrendt of Charleston, SC; a granddaughter, Rachel Villeneuve of Park Ridge, IL; a sister, Mary Ellen (Tony) Caputo of West Chicago, IL; and a cousin who was raised as a sister, Linda Zack of Arlington Heights, IL. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Pastor Allen Christensen officiating. Burial will be in Lake Drive Cemetery in the Town of Wescott with Military Honors conducted by the American Legion Post #117.
