Ronald Bennett "Ron" Cassata, age 61, of Cecil, passed away at home on December 20, 2023. Born on July 15, 1962, in Elmhurst, IL, raised by Roger and Gayle (Mansfield) Hall.  Ron had many different interests, which included nature and the outdoors. Ron especially liked hunting, fishing, and camping. Ron was a sports enthusiast. In his youth, he played softball. Ron's favorite teams included the Chicago Cubs or "Cubbies", the Black Hawks, and the Bears. Ron enjoyed the music of Elvis Presley and collecting memorabilia. For 30 years, he shared a wonderful life with his soulmate Sharon Moore, and will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Ron is survived by his parents, Roger and Gayle; love of his life Sharon; siblings, Blake Richard Cassata, of Oregon, Barbara Gayle "Missy" Hall of Illinois and Scarlotte O'Hare Salamone of Wisconsin; and fur baby Remmington. He is further survived by numerous friends.

Ron is preceded in death by his long-time best friend and pup, Elvis.
