Ronald Neconish, age 85, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022, in Berlin, WI.  He was born on July 27, 1936, to the late Freeman and Madeline (Hanks) Neconish, in Keshena.  He graduated from high school in 1955.  Ron worked for Neenah Foundry for several years.  Ron enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, making crafts and being creative, and helping at church when he could.

Ron is survived by: his brother, LeRoy "John" "Sapatis" Neconish; his sister, Virginia "Rose" Neconish Waupoose; and Godson, Gordon Neconish Waupoose.  He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his parents; his sisters, Merceline Warrington, Mary Ann Waubanascum, Marie Wayka, Jennie Notinokey, Madeline (Kohel) Neconish and Roxy Green; brothers, Melvin Neconish and Louis Francis; and half-brothers, Albert Waupoose and Carl Waupoose.

A funeral service will be held for Ron at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano.  Burial will be at Neconish Cemetery in the spring.  Visitation will be held at Swedberg Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, from 4:00-7:00 pm and again on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, from 9:30 am until the time of service.
