IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ronald
Timm
March 23, 1938 – November 22, 2021
Ronald L. Timm went to be with His Lord and Savior on Nov. 22, 2021. He was born on March 23, 1938, in Richmond Township to Arthur and Martha Timm. He was raised on his family farm where he learned his work ethic for life. He attended Pine Grove country school 1-6, Lincoln School 7-8 and graduated from Shawano High School. He attended North Central Bible College for one year then came home to help his father, who had broken his leg and needed help on the farm. His first job was for Morning Glory dairy plant in DePere. He married Carmen Berg on March 8, 1958 and celebrated their 63 rd anniversary this year. He always wanted to drive a big truck, so he bought a milk truck and picked up milk from farmers in the area. He said that his best day was when he bought the milk route, and the next best day was when he sold the milk route. Next, he worked as a salesman for ABC Buildings in Clintonville, then he was employed by Universal Dairy and later he was an International Trainer for A&L Laboratories in Minneapolis, MN. Each job he had was related to the dairy industry.
He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, loved his family, and was generous in giving to others. Ronald had a positive attitude toward everyone, loved to tell stories about his travels abroad, always had a joke that we'd all heard a dozen times before, but we laughed anyway. We love him very much.
He was a lifelong member of River Valley Church in Shawano where he served as a deacon, Missions Director and Adult Sunday School teacher. When he retired, he wanted to do something to serve His Lord however he could. He and his wife, Carmen, started a Jail Ministry at the Shawano County jail. Then it became a Prison Ministry, communicating with inmates through monthly Bible studies and devotionals. The ministry helped many inmates by providing canteens and other supplies that were needed.
He is survived by his wife, Carmen, children: Robin (Kerry) Gelschus of Maple Grove, MN, Jeff (Cindy) Timm of Shawano, Susan (John) Tierney of Shawano, Michelle (Terry) Bishop of Andover, MN and Shari (Todd) Beranak of Shakopee, MN, brother, Dennis (Cheryl) Timm of Green Bay, brother and sister-in-law, Dick & Sharon Behnke of Winona, MN, ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his sister, Elaine Bieniewicz of Minnetonka, MN, brother Warren (Marge) Timm of Green Bay, and Sister Ardis (Les) Steen of Blaine, MN.
A funeral service will be held for Ronald at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at the River Valley Church in Shawano. Inurnment will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery in the spring. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am at the church until the time of service. The family recommends masks be worn during the service.
