Rose Marie (Creapeau) Bowman, age 91, of Bowler, passed away at her home on Monday, May 15, 2017. Rose was born on March 4, 1926 in Keshena to the late George and Delia (Kaquatosh) Creapeau. Rose was united in marriage to Lyle "Jylie" Bowman on September 13, 1944 and together they raised three children in Milwaukee. In 1982, they moved to their summer home in Red Springs. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and playing bingo. Rose spent winters in California with her niece and nephew, Evelyn and Ted Sander. Rose loved spending time with her family and was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her family, including her many nieces and nephews.
Rose is survived by: her children, Eva Bowman of Gresham, Jyles "Weegie" (Joan) Bowman of Gresham and Donna (Brian) Coyhis of Bowler; grandchildren, Lisa (Rick) Petrich, RoseAnn (Nathan) Strege, Paul (Valerie) Bowman, Sloane (Kashsa) Coyhis, Mark Coyhis, SunShine Bear, Reyna Bowman, Christinee Bowman, Sha'rae Bowman and Morning Star Bowman; great-grandchildren, Robert Petrich, Joseph Petrich, Kimberly Petrich, Derek Bowman, Devon Strege, Paul Bowman, Jr., Anthony Strege, Xavier (Mandy) Montez, Avery Coyhis, Ella Coyhis, Charles Bear, Shannon Bear, Manny Bear, Jeremy Bear, Aiden Bear, Jesse Bear and Eva Bear; and a great great-grandson, Malcolm Bear. She is further survived by her sisters, Theresa Wilson and Sharon Gardner.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Lyle "Jylie" in 2005; her parents; her brothers, George, Marvin, Lawrence and Raymond; and sisters, Delores Moede, Evelyn Snow and Vera Creapeau.
Memorial services for Rose will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Gresham with Rev. Ervin John officiating. Inurnment will be in the Gresham Public Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:30 am until the time of the service.
