Rose (nee Kaquatosh) Curry, age 79, of Keshena, passed away Monday, August 27, 2012 in Milwaukee. Born on February 6, 1933 in Keshena, she was the daughter of the late Sylvester R. and Rachael (Gristeau) Kaquatosh. On October 19, 1962 she was united in marriage to Albert Curry in Chicago. He preceded her in death on December 5, 2000. Rose worked for Eagle Knitt and was a member of the St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Neopit. In her free time she enjoyed playing the slots at the casino, doing beadwork, crafting, knitting and crocheting. Rose is survived by: 2 special step-daughters, Jean (Walter) Gragert of Lake Placid, FL, Cheryl (Tom) Linbo of IN; 3 brothers, Raymond E. Kaquatosh of Milwaukee, Carl Kaquatosh of Suring, Warren (Anita) Kaquatosh of Neopit; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Roxanne Ponfil. Rose was preceded in death by: her husband, Albert; her parents; 2 sisters, Marsha (John) Heczko, Patricia (Anthony) Ponfil; a brother, Sylvester Kaquatosh; and 2 sisters-in-law, Evelyn and Crystal Kaquatosh. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, August 31, 2012 at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Neopit with the Rev. Robert Rank officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Neopit Community Center from 5pm on Wednesday until the time of the service on Friday. A Parish Wake service will be held at the center on Thursday at 7:30pm.
