Rose V. Kroening, age 97 of Shawano, passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021. Rose was born on May 14, 1923, to the late Fred and Anna (Kunschke) Blank in Shawano. On April 20, 1946, Rose was united in marriage to Harley Kroening at St. Paul Lutheran Church – Stony Hill.  Harley preceded her in death on May 13, 2015. Rose and Harley enjoyed traveling and visited all 50 states, the Great Wall of China, Ireland, Australia, a salt mine in Poland, the pyramids in Egypt, the Dead Sea, and cruised through the Panama Canal. Rose also traveled to the Red Square in Russia. Rose was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church – Stony Hill where she was a member of the Ladies Aid holding office of President and also served on the Finance Committee.

Rose is survived by one son, Roy (Darlane) Kroening of Shawano, one grandson, Paul (Nichole) Kroening of Hudson, and great granddaughters, Lucy Rose and Lily Jane. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother, Vernon Blank.

A funeral service for Rose will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 19, 2021 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Rev. John Eyer officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 19, 2020 at the funeral home from 9:00 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church – Stony Hill.
