Roxanne Marie LaRock, "Apaehniw-Kesekokiw" Blue Sky Woman, age 77, of Keshena passed away on Monday September 15, 2025, in Suring. Roxanne was born on May 22, 1948, in Keshena to the late Aloysius and Marguerite (Frechette) LaRock. Roxanne graduated from Shawano High School in 1968 and attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and Nicolet College. She was an athlete in her younger years, and she loved to watch sports; the Kansas City Chiefs were her favorite team. She loved being outdoors and felt at peace in the woods. Roxanne also loved her Menominee history and culture, and she loved teaching others about the Menominee history and culture during her time working as an educator at the Menominee Logging Museum. In her free time, Roxanne enjoyed doing puzzles, and crosswords, and she always made time to visit with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind.

Roxanne is survived by her siblings, James LaRock, Michele LaRock, Patrick LaRock, Bridgett (David) James, Joseph (Linda) LaRock; and special children, Ellen, Trevor, Tyler, Tennille, Tamera, Tricia, Luciano, Therese, Aurora, Baby Elk, Miss Cynthia, Dan The Man and Penāēsikwēw. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including special niece, Donna Dee and children.

Roxanne is preceded in death by her parents, Aloysius and Marguerite as well as brothers, Michael and Mikel; and special nephew, Kesehanakuat.

A Funeral Mass for Roxanne will be held at 11:00 am on Friday September 19, 2025, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Keshena with Fr. Hanz Christian officiating. Visitation will be held at David Barrett Hall starting on Wednesday September 17, 2025, at 4:00 pm, with a wake service on Thursday September 18, 2025, at 7:00 pm, then continuing until the time of service on Friday.
