Roy E. Peterson, Jr., age 76 of Keshena, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at his home.  He was born on August 11, 1946, to the late Roy Peterson Sr. and Louise Mahkimetas in Keshena. On, August 11, 1966, Roy was united in marriage to Linda Tucker in Shawano.  She preceded him in death on April 6, 2019. Roy retired from Hall's rental as a truck driver. He also worked for the Menominee Tribe at the Menominee Cultural Museum. Roy enjoyed hunting, fishing and visiting with people. He was very talkative. Roy was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Keshena.

Roy is survived by: his children, Terri Jo Peterson, Maun-Yan "Monee" (Rubbin E.) Peterson-Sadler, Roy E. (Mary E. Micik) Peterson III, and Joshua Tucker; his grandchildren, Gilbert "Chachi" (Cherie Hill) Mendez Jr., Jordan Michael (Dayna Shawano) Mendez, Lauren Ashlee Mendez, Norberto Alexander Rodriguez, Aiyana Christine Peterson, Aria Tucker, Jenelle (Beto) Vargas, Ruby Ann Komanekin, and Marjorie Komanekin; sisters, Annette Latender, and Amber Johnson.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Charles Peterson, Norman Peterson, Evelyn Peterson, Alice Newton, Lucille Surprise, and Rita Connahvichnah.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Fr. Hanz Christian officiating. Visitation will be held at 10:00 am at the funeral home until the time of service.
