Russell Jerry Hudson, age 78, of Bonduel, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at his home. Russell was born on August 24, 1936 in the Town of Morgan to the late John and Anna (Updenkelder) Hudson. On June 26, 1965, Russell was united in marriage to Carol Gueller at St. John Lutheran Church in the Town of Green Valley. He lived most of his life in this area. Russell was a heavy equipment operator, they owned and operated Hudson Bar in Green Valley, which was well-known for its fish fry's, and they currently own a farm in the Town of Hartland. Russell is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol; their sons, Howard (Joanne) of Shawano and James (Kelly) of Bonduel; seven grandchildren, DJ( Special Friend, Nikki), Cody (Fiancée, Hannah), Caleb (Ashley), Colton, Nathaniel (Special Friend, Kelsey), Robert (Special Friend, Taylor), and Emily and one step-granddaughter, Nicole and her children, Ayden and Ana; his brothers and sisters, Oscar (Jenny) of Kenosha, Delores Burdeau of Flintville, Shelby (Donny) Brusky of Green Bay, and Eugene of De Pere; brothers-in-law, Ervin Burdeau and Tom Perz; sisters-in-law, Betty Hudson, Sue Hudson, and Terry Hudson; Carol's brother Dale Gueller and brother-in-law, Steve Fellman. He is further survived by several special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Cody, his brothers and sisters, Dorothy (Leo) Truax, George Hudson, Helen Burdeau, Gary Hudson, Gordon Hudson, Iven Hudson, and Betty Lou Perez; sister-in-law, Carol Hudson, Carol's parents, Howard and Mabel Gueller; his brother-in-law, Dean Gueller; and his sister-in-law Mary Fellman. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Mr. Richard Menning officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 -8:00 p.m. and again on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. The family requests that you wear camo.
