Ruth Ann Cutshaw, "Pepon – Keniahkiw" (Winter Eagle Woman), age 83, of Keshena passed away on Monday July 14, 2025, in Appleton. Ruth was born on December 18, 1941, to the late Mitchell and Regina (Lawe) Pamonicutt. She lived most of her life on the reservation. Ruth loved beading, gardening, and playing cards. She enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and beloved fur babies. On December 7, 1961, she was united in marriage to Clayton Cutshaw at St. Michael's Catholic Church. The couple shared 57 years together before Clayton's passing in 2019.

Ruth is survived by her children, Allen (Chris) Cutshaw, Jean (Douglas) Cox, Clayton (Tess) Cutshaw, Jr., and Carol Kroening; daughter-in-law, Annette Cutshaw; grandchildren, Trisha, Jesse, Ricky, Blake, Nick, Kristan, Christopher, Jonathan, Jennifer, Justin, Douglas Jr., Cassandra, Alicia, Rachel, Kayla, Cheyenne, and Lucas; many great-grandchildren; and beloved fur babies, Tinker and Misty. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Cutshaw; son, Rick Cutshaw; and all brothers and sisters.

A funeral service for Ruth will be held at 12:30 pm on Friday July 18, 2025, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Fr. Hanz Christian officiating and prayers by David Grignon "Nahwahquaw". Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday July 17, 2025, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm then again on Friday from 11:00 am until the time of service. Burial will be held at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Keshena.
