Ruth Ann Scherf, age 86 of Shawano, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2011 in Shawano. Born on August 5, 1925 in Shawano, she was the daughter of the late Ewald and Margaret (Strutz) Beilfuss. Ruth lived most of her life in the Shawano area where she worked for 16 years as a machine operator at Weber Veneer & Plywood. She also lived in the Milwaukee area for a few years and in California for 12 years. Ruth was a member of the Peace United Church of Christ in Shawano. Those who know Ruth will remember her as a very hard worker. Ruth is survived by: 4 siblings, Harry (Wilma) Beilfuss of Shawano, Marvin (Beatrice) Beilfuss of Egg Harbor, Elaine Gueths of Shawano, Gerald (Pat) Beilfuss of Clintonville; a sister-in-law, Adeline Beilfuss of Shawano; and several nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by: her parents; 2 brothers, Allen and Jim Beilfuss; and a brother-in-law, Arnold Gueths. Funeral services will be held at 2:30pm on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. Marty Black officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano. Visitation will be held at the funeral home in Shawano on Saturday after 1:30pm until the time of the service. www.swedbergfuneralhome.com
