Ruth Henrietta Schettle, age 97 of Bonduel, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013 at a local nursing home. Born on March 16, 1916 in Canada, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Meta (Pahlow) Jahnke. Ruth grew up in the Oshkosh area and later married Albert Leher; he preceded her in death. On August 23, 1997 she married Joseph E .Schettle in Oshkosh and the couple moved to the Bonduel area after marriage. Ruth was a member of the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall. She enjoyed cooking, baking and going out to eat. Ruth is survived by: a step daughter, Judy (Robert) Brecken of Bonduel; a step granddaughter, Kris (Dave) Kuettel; 3 step great-grandchildren, Dillon (Cassandra), Cassidy and Hunter Kuettel; and a nephew, Bill Jahnke of Stevens Point. Ruth was preceded in death by: her first husband, Albert Leher; her son, James Leher; her second husband, Joseph on August 19, 2005; her parents; and a brother. A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at the Kingdom Hall in Shawano with Mr. Ken Giessel officiating. Inurnment will be in the Lakeview Memorial Park in Oshkosh.
