Our beautiful baby boy, Salem Ray Kemēwan "Rain" Ballin's short life ended unexpectedly on September 22, 2022 at 4 months and 28 days. He was born April 25, 2022, in South Bend, IN. Salem was the son of Ted M. Ballin Jr. and Yuritzi Suarez of South Bend, Indiana.
He survived by his parents; his only sister Re'Nelli G. Suarez; paternal great grandfather, John M. (Linda) LaTender, of Keshena, WI; paternal great grandmother, Renee M. Vigue, of South Bend, IN; grandparents, Ted M. Ballin Sr. and Renee Kasehchewun LaTender, both of South Bend, IN; maternal great grandparents, Ester and Job Suarez; great grandparents Tomasa and Ray Caballero; grandparents, Salomon Suarez Sr. and Maria Caballero, both also of South Bend; aunts, NiLeah Harper, of Indianapolis, IN and RyAnna LaTender, of South Bend, IN; and his uncle, Salomon Suarez Jr., of South Bend, IN. Salem has a host of other family, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Salem was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Reginald and Lois M. House; great grandfather, Edward G. Vigue; great uncle, Paul E. Vigue and his uncle, Jacob "Jake" Williams.
"Mommy and Daddy love you more than life itself, our Salem Boy, we will miss your little baby loves and smiles, watching Disney movies with you, and watching you grow and learn new things every single day. We watched over you for your short precious life here, now it's your turn to watch over us."
Salem's final resting place will be on the Menominee Indian Reservation. A traditional service will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at the Neopit Community Center, W6797 Church Street, Neopit, with burial to follow. Visitation will be held at the Neopit Community Center on Tuesday, September 27th, at 4:00 pm until the time of services on Wednesday.
Salem Ray was deeply loved by all of his family and will be truly missed. Forever in Our Hearts, our Salem Ray Kemēwan "Rain" Ballin, until we meet again.
The family is requesting memorial donations be made directly to Swedberg Funeral Home.
