Samuel Gus Angel, age 57 of Green Bay, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, September 18, 2021. Sam was born on January 2, 1964, to the late Sam and Lillian (Caldwell) Angel in Chicago, IL. He was baptized at St. Anthony's Church. He graduated from high school in Chicago and in 1994, he moved to Green Bay. Sam was united in marriage on December 4, 2020, in Green Bay to Susan R. Kindzierski. Sam was a painter and a master of plaster. He enjoyed gardening, going to the lake, and making beer. Sam was an all-around handyman and very family oriented.

Sam is survived by his wife, Susan Angel, his children; Athena (Brandon Teller) Angel, Sammy (Casandra Adillah) Angel Jr., and Jesie (Stacy) Doxtator, his brothers and sisters; Ranell (Fred) Sleman, David Caldwell, Laureen, and Athena (Brian) Peterson, his grandchildren; Aidan, Naiveen, Cadence, Persephone, Sammy, Ava, Avianna, and Adrian, several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Sam and Lillian Angel, and his brother and sister; John and Leslie.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021, 11:00 am at St. Michael Catholic Church in Keshena. Inurnment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery. Friends may gather at the church from 9:30 am Saturday, until time of services. Father Nonito Barra will be officiating. Swedberg Funeral home is assisting the family with arrangements.
