Sandra Ann Flessert, age 63 of Shawano, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020. Sandra was born on June 27, 1957, in Shawano, to Charles E. Rusch and the late Grace (Koralewski) Rusch. She graduated from Shawano High School and lived in Shawano all of her life. Sandra was known to many as mom and nana. She loved her family dearly and cherished the time spent with them. Sandra will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Sandra is survived by her daughters, Sara Braatz and Elizabeth (Nick Brady) Flessert both of Shawano; grandchildren, Sabrina, Dustin, and Isaac; her father, Charles Rusch of Land O Lakes; siblings, Karen (Todd) Turner of Ohio, Christine Braithwait of Shawano, Debbie (Perry) Parmer of Shawano, and Butch (Katie) Rusch; and was a special nana to Kyla, Taylor, and Dylan. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Grace Rusch; two grandsons, Alexander and Trevor; one sister, Kathy; one brother, Chuckie; and her beautiful niece, Catey Turner.

A funeral service for Sandra will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Scott Valentyn officiating. Visitation will be held at Swedberg Funeral home in Shawano on Monday, December 28, 2020 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and again at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.

Sandra was staying at Shawano Health Services before passing, while there she made countless friends with many residents and staff. She was especially fond of Melanie B., Amber H., Kendra J., Airiel A., Erin L., Mallory W., and Adam V. for filling her day with playful banter, love and care.
