Sandra J. Jones, age 81, of Shawano, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at Maple Lane. Sandra was born on January 27, 1939, in Tigerton, to the late Charles and Gertrude (Bernarde) Butts. When Sandra was born her mother was surprised when the doctor informed her that she was going to be having another child, 15 minutes later her twin sister Sonja arrived. Sandra and Sonja joined their sister Joanne and their brother Charles in their childhood adventures. She attended Tigerton schools and graduated from Tigerton High School. Sandra then continued her education at the University of Wisconsin Stout at Menomonie. Upon graduation, she returned to Shawano and worked as a Dental Assistant at Gansen Dental Offices, taught high school religion at Sacred Heart and enjoyed bowling before moving to Minneapolis in 1963. While in Minneapolis she continued her work as a Dental Assistant. It was in there where she met and was united in marriage to William Jones in 1967. They lived in Bloomington and William preceded Sandra in death on June 4, 1972. Sandra was the President and Secretary at her church Nativity of Mary in Minnesota. Several years later she remarried and moved to Ingram, Wisconsin to farm. The marriage was eventually dissolved and Sandra returned to Shawano.

Sandra is survived by: nine nephews, Glenn (Debra) Meisner, Scott (Linda) Meisner, Fred (Lisa) Meisner, William (Amy) Stewart, Robert (Dawn) Stewart, Paul (Kris) Stewart, Daniel (Julie) Stewart, Edward (Heather) Stewart, and Pete (Shannon) Stewart; one niece, Susan (Roger) Blumreich; and two sisters-in-law, Marge (Jones) Owen and Ginny (George) Jacobs. She is further survived by other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her brother, Charles Butts; her sisters, Joanne Meisner and Sonja Stewart; and brothers-in-law, Roger Meisner and Robert Stewart, Sr.

Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Tigerton.
