Sandra Lee (nee Durr) Jung, age 69 of Bonduel, passed away Friday, December 16, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 19, 1942 in Woodstock, IL, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Florence (Helmer) Durr. On May 15, 1971 she was united in marriage to Robert Jung in Cary, IL. The couple moved to the Bonduel area from Woodstock in 1973 where they raised eight highly energetic boys on a farm. Upon arriving to the area, Sandra saw a need for an assisted living type facility in the Shawano/Bonduel community and successfully accomplished fulfilling her vision when she co-founded Oak Haven Assisted Living in Shawano. She later built and ran Meadow View in Bonduel until her retirement in 2000. Sandra served on the Hartland Zoning Committee. In her free time she enjoyed playing computer games, traveling and sewing. Sandra is survived by: her husband, Robert; 7 sons, Steven (Kathy) of Colorado Springs, CO, Douglas (Ellen) of Clintonville, Brian (Emily) of Atlanta, GA, Michael (Tina) of Green Bay, David (Vicky) of Seabrooke, TX, Scott (Melanie) of Shawano, Joseph (Lisa) of Capron, IL; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister Donna Allen of Cary, IL; and special friends, Carol and Lyle Gehm. Sandra was preceded in death by: her son, Mark in 2003; and her parents. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel on Wednesday, December 21, 2011. The gathering will conclude with a Prayer Service conducted by Father Len Evers. A committal service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 23, 2011 at the McHenry County Memorial Chapel in Woodstock, Illinois. www.swedbergfuneralhome.com
