Sandra “Sandy” Lee Dumke, age 79, of Suring passed away on Thursday September 24, 2026. Sandy was born on October 22, 1946, in the Town of Belle Plaine, Shawano County, daughter of the late Arnold “Jim” and Emma (Williamson) Giese. She was united in marriage to Arnold Dumke on October 9, 1965, in Shawano. Arnold preceded her in death in 2005. Sandy served as the Director of Wisconsin Salvage Association-Concerned Auto Recyclers ‘CARS’ for 19 years before transitioning to Executive Secretary in 1998. In her free time, she enjoyed knitting club and acrylic painting on saw blades and milk cans; providing several pieces for local businesses including the Shawano stock car exhibit. She also enjoyed bus trips and traveling. Sandy loved her family dearly and was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

Sandy is survived by her children; Gail (Danny) Kratzke and Peter (Kim) Dumke; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Andrew) Twietmeyer, Nicole (Luke) Resch, and Joshua (Haylee) Kratzke; great-grandchildren, Jane, Eve, Harvey, and Hank with another great grandson on the way; her brothers, Robert (Cheryl) Giese and Dale (Tina) Giese; a half-sister, Deenie (Dave) Krueger; and sister-in-law, Sue Hanson. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Arnold; parents, Arnold “Jim” and Emma Giese; and brother, James Giese.

A funeral service for Sandy will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 2, 2026, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 9:30 am until the time of the service. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.
