Sandra Ann "Sandy" "Charlie" Hohensee, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, in Shawano. Sandy was born in Shawano, Wisconsin on September 14, 1954, daughter of Phyllis (Ferg) Reopelle and the late Marcel Reopelle. Sandy graduated from Gresham High School.  She enjoyed playing softball in her younger years. On February 21, 1981, Sandy was united in marriage to Ronald "Stub" Hohensee in Gresham. Sandy enjoyed working the farm with Stub and always loved seeing the new calves born. She also worked at the Shawano Paper Mill for many years. Stub and Sandy spent a wonderful 31 years together before Stub's passing in 2012. In Sandy's free time, she enjoyed visiting and playing cards with friends. The most important thing in her life was without a doubt, her family.  Sandy lived for her family especially her beloved grandchildren. She never missed their sporting events or activities even through all of her cancer treatments. Sandy was an amazing mother and grandmother.  She will be deeply missed and always fondly remembered.

Sandy is survived by her children, Nikki (Jake) Yeager and Dave (Laura Stallman) Hohensee; grandchildren, Hannah, McKenna, Monroe, Madix and Gabriel; her mother, Phyllis Reopelle; siblings, Edward (Lynn) Reopelle, Pamela (Jay) Achten and Brian (Melonie) Reopelle; and a sister-in-law, Diane Reopelle. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Sandy is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald; their dog, Molly; a brother, Jon Reopelle; and her father, Marcel.

A Funeral Mass for Sandy will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday April 24, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano with Fr. Edward Looney officiating. Visitation will be held at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano on Wednesday April 23, 2025, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and then again on Thursday at the church from 10:30 am until the time of service. Burial will be in Zion Rest Cemetery in Gresham following the service.
