Santana Marie Hawpetoss, age 17, passed away on Thursday December 14, 2023, in Gresham. Santana was born on January 17, 2006, in Shawano to parents Aptickasic (Danielle Peters) Hawpetoss and Jessica Zepeda. Santana was a Senior at Menominee Indian High School. She enjoyed playing volleyball and basketball, spending time with her nieces, and hanging out with her friends, especially her best friend Summer Pocan.

Santana is survived by her parents, Aptickasic (Danielle Peters) Hawpetoss and Jessica Zepeda; siblings, Helen Hawpetoss, Awaehtok-Mawaew Hawpetoss, Aptickasic Hawpetoss II, Adrian Hawpetoss, Quincy Peters, Lashaila Peters, and Manny Peters; nieces, Alyiah and Aracella Hawpetoss; grandfather, Martin Penass; and special people who helped raise her, Jodi Hawpetoss, Jeanette Chevalier, Leah Pamonicutt, Chanice Waupoose, Denise Peters, Carrol LaRock Webster, Thomas Harrison, Bruce Windorski and Courtney Windorski. She is further survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

Santana is preceded in death by her grandparents, Helen and Norman Peterson, and Jean Corn; and aunts, Sherry Waupoose, Bianca Ruiz, and Annie Malotte.

Traditional services for Santana will be held on Wednesday December 20, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Denise Peters residence, W6522 River St. in Neopit. Visitation will be held at the house from 1:00 pm on Monday and continuing until the time of service.
