Scott Paape, age 49, of Bonduel, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2016, in Green Bay.
Born on October 30, 1966, in Milwaukee, the son of Dale and the late Barbara (Fitch) Paape.
On April 27, 2002 Scott was united in marriage to the love of his life and his best friend, Jennifer Kostuch, in Oconomowoc.
Scott learned to hang dry wall at the age of 15 and turned that skill into his career for many years.
He also worked for Evinrude Motors for some time before finding his passion for go-kart racing.
He was the race director at Badger Raceway in Dousman, at USA International in Shawano, and eventually at NJMP in New Jersey where he became a legend in the industry.
Most recently he was a truck driver in the Bonduel area and operated a weekend business with his wife and daughter, "Happy Paape Kettle Corn" selling kettle corn and lemonade at various events and locations.
Scott was happy and loud, always the life of the party.
A great husband, father, and friend, he was always willing to help anyone that needed it.
In his free time he also enjoyed hunting, fishing, racing, enjoying a cold beer, and watching Packer games.
Scott is survived by: his wife, Jennifer; two daughters, Emma Paape and Jessica Shafer; one granddaughter, Harmony; his father Dale (Marsha) Paape of Arizona; a brother, Brian Neudling of Adams; mother-in-law, Marge Kostuch; brother-in-law, Jeff (Jean) Kostuch; nephews, Judd (Bridget) Neudling and Jerry (Crystal) Neudling; numerous great nieces, great nephews, other relatives, friends, and his black lab, Karter.
He was preceded in death by:
his mother, Barbara; a brother, Michael; his father-in-law, Robert; and his sister-in-law, Sally.
A memorial service for Scott will be held at 6:00pm on Friday, September 23, 2016 at Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 3:00pm until the time of the service.
