Scott Allen "Scooter" Hill, age 58, of Shawano, fought a long hard battle from lung cancer starting in 2016, he passed away in the early morning of Thursday June 27, 2024, from complications of treatments. Scott was born on November 2, 1965, in Shawano, to the late Darwin and Janice (Peterman) Hill. On a summer night at the Shawano drive-in theater, he met Pamela VandeVen and went their separate ways. Later in life they met again at the Shawano Speedway; they were married in September of 2006 and the rest is history. Scott and Pamela had a pastor pleaser wedding then had a fall wedding just to make sure it was done right. He was called Mr. Fix it and was willing to help anybody in need. Scott was a jokester and always had an inside joke. You could always find him with his favorite drink in hand a Captain with a splash of coke. Scott had a game he would play with his daughters; try to find the most meaningful gift to make the other person cry. When he went out hunting with his daughter they would more often talk than hunt. He was in the process of adopting his stepson Trevor and they bonded while fixing cars. Scott was an avid deer hunter and always looked forward to the week of deer hunting where he could spend time and cook at the cabin with his family and friends. Pam and he enjoyed trail riding with his friends on 4-wheelers. He was a volunteer fireman for Shawano. Scott was a wonderful loving husband, father, brother and uncle; he will be dearly missed.

Scott is survived by his wife of 18 years, Pamela; children, Kayla Hill, Karissa Hill and Trevor Schutt; his third fur baby, Cocoa; sister, Cathy (Jim) Hoffman; nieces, Amanda (Aaron) Cawthorn and Alicia (Leandro) Leon; special friends, Tim, Lud and Ben; aunt, Marcie Herrmann; and uncles, Butch "Jackie" Hill and Bob Koehler. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends.

Scott preceded in death by his parents, Darwin and Janice; maternal grandparents, Herb and Hertha Peterman; and paternal grandparents, Elmer and Alvira Hill.

A memorial service for Scott will be held at 5:00 pm on Wednesday July 3, 2024, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Terrence Wissell officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00 pm and continuing until the time of service.
