Scott Steven Weisnicht, age 66, of Shawano, passed away at his home on Tuesday August 29, 2023, surrounded by his family. Scott was born on July 12, 1957, in Shawano to the late George and Edna (Debben) Weisnicht. He attended school in Pulaski. On April 9, 2005, he was united in marriage to Mary Schmidt in the Town of Washington. Scott drove truck for Scott Mercks Trucking and United Cooperative in Shawano for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed ice racing and snowmobiling. Scott worked with Shawano Speedway for 53 years. He started selling newspapers up in the stands and eventually became a racer and worked the tow truck. Scott will be remembered for the orange and black #53 stock car that he loved racing. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Town of Washington.

Scott is survived by his wife of 18 years, Mary; son, Lee (Sara) Weisnicht; two grandchildren, Alora and Cole; and his sister Cinthy Helms. He is further survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service for Scott will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday September 9, 2023, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, W4496 County Rd E, Bonduel, with Pastor Craig Nehring officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday starting at 9:30 and continuing until the time of service. Burial will be held at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano.
