Obituary

Sharon Fay Hodkiewicz, 64, of Shawano, Wisconsin went to her heavenly home on November 4, 2021. While she will be missed by many, we are thankful that she is again with her beloved husband, Dennis, who died in 2015.

Sharon was born on March 19, 1957, to Calvin and Sadie Norton. Sharon met the love of her life, Dennis, in 1973, when she was crowned Pulaski's Rodeo Queen. They were married on October 5, 1974 and had three children. They celebrated their 40 th Wedding Anniversary shortly before Dennis passed. Sharon worked for several years in healthcare as a nurse. Sharon's faith was an essential part of her life and was a member of the Hope Community Church in Shawano.

Sharon enjoyed painting, crafting, spending time with her Bible study/friends, going to lunch with Deb, water aerobics, polka music, spoiling her dogs, and spending time with her friends and family. Sharon had a kind and generous heart. If you were fortunate enough to show up at holidays and family events, Sharon treated you like family, and made sure you felt included.

She is survived by her children Dawn (Patrick) Washkuhn, Dennis Hodkiewicz Jr., and Sondra (Guy) Guetschow, her grandchildren Dakota Washkuhn, Taylor Hodkiewicz, Griffin Guetschow, Sophie Guetschow, Emily Bergner, and Samuel Guetschow, along with her great grandchildren Dante and Amias Washkuhn, and her beloved fur babies Jasmine and Hailey.

She was preceded in death by her father Calvin Art Norton, her mother Sadie Norton, and her beloved husband Dennis Hodkiewicz Sr.

A funeral service for Sharon will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Hope Community Church in Shawano with Rev. Todd Bonnin officiating. Visitation will be held at Hope on Monday from 4:00pm until 7:00pm and again on Tuesday from 9:30am until the time of the service.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Vincent Hospital and The Bay at Suring Health and Rehabilitation Center for their care and compassion.

Mathew 25:35 – "For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in."
