Obituary

Sharon Lee Rambo, age 76, of Gresham, Wisconsin, passed away at ThedaCare Hospital in Appleton on Sunday, October 4, 2026. Sharon was born on June 1, 1950, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of Leonard and Evelyn Rambo.

Sharon was a 1968, graduate from Custer High School in Milwaukee. After high school, she enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1972. Sharon worked as a medical receptionist at Cantwell-Peterson Clinic in Shawano for several years and as an office assistant at Shultz’s Family Store in Shawano. She moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1987, working several jobs there until moving back to Wisconsin to be near family in 2007. Sharon was the “caregiver” of the family. Generous and thoughtful by nature, she always thought of others before herself. She lived with and cared for her brother, Dave, during his final years, as well as spending many hours and days at a time with her mom, Evelyn, before she passed away last year at this same time.

Sharon enjoyed word puzzle books, watching the news channels and occasional trips to the casino. Surprisingly, she was very interested in world history and enjoyed history shows and looking at photos from her nephew, Karl’s many travels.

Sharon is survived by her son, Mark Rambo (special friend, Dawn Donat); grandson, Hunter Rambo; sister, Donna (Steve) Resch; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Evelyn Rambo; and brothers, Dan Rambo and Dave Rambo.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Gresham with Pastor Merle Martin officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 11: 30 am until the time of service.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Suzie for looking after Sharon as her good friend and neighbor and to cousin, Julie for the many cards and phone calls Sharon appreciated so much.
