Shelby Nicole Schanandore, age 43, of Shawano, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, in Shawano. Shelby was born on October 18, 1983, to the late Dale and Debra (Lang) Schanandore. She was homeschooled then had her daughter, Librien “Libby” on April 8, 2003. Shelby always wanted better for her daughter and was a very supportive loving mother who pushed her daughter to do the best in life and to always pursue her dreams. She had a very challenging past but persevered and always accomplished her goals. After becoming a mother, that became her purpose. Shelby was passionate about her heritage and made sure she passed that down to her daughter. She was bubbly, outgoing, social and chatty. Shelby always made people smile and everyone loved her.

Shelby is survived by her daughter, Librien “Libby” Lang-Smith; fur baby, Tatanka; sister, Amanda Schanandore; and nephew, Atticus Kehr. She is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

Shelby is preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Debra Schanandore.

A burial will be held at Menominee Nation Cemetery.
