Shelley Ann Rodriguez, age 47 of Shawano, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2011 in Shawano surrounded by her family. Born on March 29, 1964 in Shawano, she was the daughter of Loren Rouse and the late Carol "Cookie" (Ludwiczak) Rouse. Shelley grew up in the Shawano area and was a graduate of the Shawano High School where she excelled in Cross Country, Track and Gymnastics. She was recently informed that she would be inducted into the Shawano High School Sports Hall of Fame. After high school, Shelley worked as a Surgical Assistant at the St. Mary's Hospital in Green Bay. Her biggest joy in life was being a mom to her beloved boys and she loved to watch them play sports. She also enjoyed gardening and was a Green Bay Packer and Milwaukee Brewer fan. Shelly is survived by: her 3 sons, Jared, Bryce and Jordan Rodriguez and their father, Joel Rodriguez; her father, Loren Rouse; 4 siblings, Steve (Cheryl) Rouse of Shawano, Scott (Becky) Rouse of Shawano, Stacy (Jeff) Drews of Shawano, Shane (fiancé, Nina Nolan) Rouse of Bonduel; aunts, Nancy (Kevin) Donahue of GA, Karen (Jim) Stenzel of Shawano; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other family members including, Andrea Hoerres, Jamie & Jon Okonek and Rick & Mary Rodriguez. Funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano. Inurnment will be in the Friendship Cemetery in the Town of Belle Plaine.
